Raid on Osama bin Laden and Sequestration
By Phil Gardner, Press Secretary
“There is a 50-50 chance that the man or woman who sewed the armor plate vest that protected our service members when they went in [to get bin Laden] is out of work collecting unemployment today.” – Congressman Denny Heck (D-WA) on the impact sequestration is already having on his district
The company that manufactured the gear that SEAL Team Six wore during the raid on Osama bin Laden – Tactical Tailor in Lakewood, WA – has already reduced its employment by nearly 50% due to a drop in business caused by the impending sequestration cuts. Rep. Heck raised the issue of sequestration’s impact on military readiness in a committee hearing today.

Oh please!Oh please! Not another demagogue! Isn’t one in the White House enough? We’re talking about a 1.5% budget cut in the rate of growth of the Federal Government and now Heck adds his voice to the Chicken Littles in the Democrat Party who claim not only that the sky will fall but that it has already fallen? How about being a bit more rational and intelligent in your statements Mr. Heck? I know you’re a freshman in Congress but really; as a business man you couldn’t find 1.5% to cut in budget increases in your own budget? And by the way: just how many more armored vests do we need in a military that’s already shrinking? Businesses like the economy go up and down in a capitalist free market society. No one is entitled to a job in perpetuity.
Well this is what happens when the people of Washington State get for voting like leamings, because they cannot vote for anyone else unless they are a Democrat! Way to go people, you’ve just put another idiot in office and the governorship! Oh,and now your state taxes will go up! Just continue to vote for the same tired party!
