Lakewood United
The Lakewood United group meets at 7 AM every Thursday at Burs Restaurant, which is located at 6151 Steilacoom Boulevard SW in Lakewood. The events for the next four weeks are as follows:
- April 2, 2009 – Fort Lewis Update – John Norgren, Fort Lewis (Kris Kauffman – MC)
- April 9, 2009 – Updates and Challenges of Pierce County Government in 2009 – Dick Muri, Pierce County Council Member (Mary Ann Miller – MC)
- April 16, 2009 – City of Lakewood Parks Department Update – Mary Dodsworth, Parks and Recreation Director (Kristy Roy – MC)
- April 23, 2009 – Connect in the Heart through the Arts – Broadway Center for the Performing Arts – David Fischer, Executive Director (Hugh Hedges – MC)
Dues are only $10 per year which equates to less than 20 cents every Thursday. This is thanks to our volunteer board. Incidentally, our guest speakers only charge us the cost of a breakfast.
