James Mack named Student of the Month

James Mack was named Steilacoom High School’s Student of the Month by Lakewood Rotary on Friday, November 16. Principal Brian Hanson described Mack as, among other glowing remarks, “respectful, caring, resilient, a competitor, responsible and all-around great guy and student”. James has participated in football and baseball all four years at Steilacoom (though he missed much of the football season this year due to injury). He always displays a positive attitude, and “has stepped up as a leader in the eyes of his peers, coaches, teachers and administrators.” James was presented with a plaque commemorating the honor, and he received the congratulations of the entire Rotary Club of Lakewood.
