One Soldier Charged, 98% of sensitive items and equipment recovered

FIRING OF: 81mm and 60mm Mortars
This late-night firing is pre-deployment training by one of the infantry units on base.
The Armed Services Blood Bank Center-Pacific Northwest (ASBBC-PNW) will host its annual Donor Appreciation event at JBLM this Friday, Feb. 10, at 11 a.m. in the JBLM McChord Field Co-Located Club.
ASBBC-PNW will recognize individuals and military organizations for their contributions to the blood bank during 2011. About 35 organizations and military units throughout the Pacific Northwest, including JBLM, arranged blood drives in 2011 to support ASBBC-PNW. Overall, the ASBBC-PNW collected 8,288 units.
Soldiers and Airmen practice rapid deployment capabilities

2nd Stryker Brigade troops host G.I. Jane Day Friday
Posted by | CommentsThe Soldiers of Company B, 1st Battalion, 17th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team will host a G.I. Jane Day, Friday, Feb. 3 to give Soldiers’ spouses, as well as other family members, a fun, yet challenging look into some of the ways their Soldiers train. Leaders from Company B, 1-17 Infantry, hope the G.I. Jane day will strengthen the bond between Soldiers and their families while helping them better understand what it means to be a Soldier.
Schedule of Events:
- 11 a.m. “Battle-Rattle” Dash
- 12 noon M4 carbine rifle and the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon firing
