Eight-year-old Alexis Bryson was one of 54 fortunate kids to get a bicycle on Saturday.

TILLICUM — 54 new bikes were given to kids who are “invested in activities at the [Tillicum Youth & Family] Center,” on Saturday, December 22. Mike Mallahan, president of the Make A Change Foundation stepped up to buy the bikes. Mallahan also found a donors (Washington State Patrol and Snohomish County Sheriff’s department) for 54 helmets. “We believe having a bike in Tillicum will give these kids a new sense of freedom and responsibility,” says Bobby Arkills, executive director of Tacoma Youth for Christ. “And hopefully gratitude that a total stranger would bless them in this way.”
