2nd annual Duck the Halls Caroling Contest

Got Holiday Spirit? It’s not too soon to get your friends, co-workers, book clubs, school groups, church members and neighbors together to form teams for the 2nd Annual Duck the Halls Caroling Contest in University Place!

This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday, December 1, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the UP Civic Building Market Square, 3609 Bridgeport Way West, in conjunction with the City’s Tree Lighting festivities.

Groups should prepare at least two holiday/seasonal songs with a maximum time limit of eight minutes for judging purposes. Additional songs are allowed if time permits.

Holiday attire is encouraged; however, no musical accompaniment, instruments or recorded music is allowed. Professional singers are not eligible to compete.

Prizes will be awarded based upon Holiday Spirit, Crowd Appeal and Musical Ability. Entry fee: Each group must provide at least 5 nonperishable food items per member OR a check ($10 per member) made out to Families Unlimited Network. Registrations are limited and must be received by Monday, November 19.
