JBLM schedules Warrior Zone grand opening for Friday

The JBLM Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation agency will host a grand opening this Friday at 2 p.m. for the new multi-million dollar Warrior Zone on JLBM Lewis North, adjacent to the Wilson Sports and Fitness Center. The ceremony will include a ribbon cutting, followed by a gaming tournament, food sampling and barbecue.

The 29,000 square foot facility designed for military service members features $1 million worth of high-tech equipment, including:

  •  16 game stations with 55” HD monitors for X-Box & PS3s
  • 53, 52” High Definition TVs equipped with DirecTV
  • 32 Alienware gaming computers, and 40 Internet computers
  • Free WiFi throughout the facility
  • A 15 ft. High Definition movie screen,
  • Eight pool tables and an outdoor patio with fire pit.

Following the grand opening activities, the Warrior Zone’s coffee bar will open daily at 6 a.m., with the recreation areas opening at 11:30 a.m. JBLM’s Better Opportunities for Single Servicemembers (BOSS) program will also be located in the Warrior Zone facility.
