Hart Edmonson named Heck campaign manager
Posted on January 3, 2012Hart Edmonson, a Legislative Assistant to Congressman Norm Dicks and a 2008 graduate of the University of Puget Sound, has been named the campaign manger of Denny Heck’s Congressional campaign.
Edmonson has strong connections to the South Sound. He served as student body President while at UPS and was also a member of the UPS Men’s Crew team.
Edmonson led Congressman Norm Dicks’ successful 2008 and 2010 re-election campaigns. Hart has since worked as a Legislative Assistant to Congressman Dicks. While handling a portfolio of healthcare, housing and labor policy—issues vital to the South Sound region—Hart completed his master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University with a focus in Data-based Decision Making and Organizational Leadership.
“Denny Heck is exactly the guy South Sound families need in Congress. He knows what we need to do to create jobs and make the American middle class strong again. I’m thrilled to join what is already an extremely strong campaign,” Edmonson said.
Denny Heck, 59, was the Democratic nominee for Washington's 3rd Congressional District in 2010. Denny is an entrepreneur, former State Representative and co-founder of TVW, a statewide public affairs TV channel in Washington State. Denny attended and graduated from The Evergreen State College in 1973 and has lived in Olympia for the past 26 years with his wife Paula and their two children, Bob and Trey. Denny and Paula, a retired middle school principal, have been married 36 years.
