"Symbolism in Still Life" exhibition opens Jan. 3, 2012

A new exhibition, Symbolism in Still Life, opens in January at The Gallery at TCC. The exhibition runs Jan. 3- March 16, 2012. A reception will be held in The Gallery Jan. 12 from 4-7 p.m.

In this exhibition, local artists display pieces that address themes of culture, identity, justice, morality and politics.

The public is also invited to contribute to this event. A still life representing “the five senses” will be set up in The Gallery during the exhibition, and members of the public are invited to use the available materials create their own interpretations of the still life for display. Members of the public may also submit their own drawings or paintings of “the five senses” to the gallery staff for display consideration.
