'Historical Phil' program starting on KLAY Radio

Beginning Monday, January 2, KLAY Radio in partnership with the Lakewood Historical Society will launch a new radio program titled "Historical Phil". "Historical Phil" is actually Phil Raschke of Lakewood and the program will air Monday through Friday at 9:30 am on KLAY Radio, 1180 AM.

Each week "Historical Phil" will briefly highlight a person or event of historical significance to the Pierce County area.  Upcoming programs include historic Fort Steilacoom, Ezra Meeker of Puyallup, DuPont and the first 4th of July in Puget Sound area, the early beginnings of Pierce County, Doolittle Raider Ed Saylor, early pioneer Laura Belle Downey Bartlett and more.
