Why do people always stand when the Hallelujah Chorus of Handel's Messiah begins?  Did Handel truly compose this piece in just three weeks? Why has this piece of music endured as a favorite for over 250 years?
Dr. Paul W. Schultz, Artistic Director and Founder of Northwest Repertory Singers, will give a lecture titled "The Hidden Artistry of Handel's Messiah." on December 6th from 10:30 to 12:30 at the Garfield Book Company (PLU's bookstore located at 208 Garfield St, in Parkland).
