Lakewood Rotary names Educators of the Month
Posted on October 9, 2011Barbie Gonzalez of the Steilacoom Historical School District and Cassie Bjornberg of the Clover Park School District were named Educator's of the Month of October by the Rotary Club of Lakewood.
This is Barbie’s fourth year in Steilacoom School District. Her colleagues at Cherrydale Elementary describe Barbie as having the ability to demonstrate her love of music every day and "turning students on" to one of the fine arts. “She is amazing with students; professional, respectful—students become true ‘performers’ in concerts. I was very impressed last year with how well the students were prepared…not only to sing their hearts out, but how well they sang together, which is a separate skill. She is truly passionate about teaching music and that’s evident in her daily interactions with students.”
Another colleague said, “She goes above and beyond when she teaches our children music. Her perky spirit and positive energy are exactly what make her such a stellar teacher.”
At the same Lakewood Rotary meeting, Cassie Bjornberg was named Educator of the Month from the Clover Park School District. Worldwide, it is every parent’s desire to have the “best” teacher possible for their children. Oakwood Elementary principal John Mitchell says Mrs. Bjornberg’s effectiveness as second/third grade classroom teacher is second to none.
Cassie’s colleagues describe her as “a knowledgeable, organized, highly skilled and dedicated team member.” She devotes long hours and exemplifies the working mantra at Oakwood Elementary, “Do whatever it takes; make it happen for kids!”, to place each and every student in her charge in the position to be successful and achieve at the highest levels.
Cassie Bjornberg is a consummate professional and well deserving of Lakewood Rotary’s Educator of the Month from Clover Park School District.

"Educator's of the Month"--educators is a plural, referring to more than one. The word should not have an apostrophe in it.

It's "educators" (plural), not "educator's" (possessive).
