TCC Hosts Annual Job Fair
Posted on April 19, 2011More than 45 employers will participate in Tacoma Community College’s annual Job Fair April 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the college’s Tacoma campus. Full-time, part-time, internship and temporary positions may be available. The event is an opportunity for students and members of the community to meet a variety of employers and find jobs firsthand.
“We’re trying to make a connection between job seekers and employers who need workers,” said Paula Sheldon, TCC employment manager, and chairperson of the job fair. “This is also an opportunity for job seekers to practice making a good first impression and presenting their strengths. Even if you aren’t able to find the job you want, the practice you can get interacting with employers can help you when the opportunity arises.”
For an updated list of employers who will be attending the fair, visit the college website: http://www.tacomacc.edu/employment/jobfair/participatingemployers/
Jobseekers should come prepared with a résumé and/or portfolio, and dressed in appropriate attire for the type of job they seek.
TCC’s Tacoma Campus is located at 6501 S. 19th St., Tacoma. The Job Fair will be held in the gym, Building 21. Look for signs that direct you to the job fair. Parking and admission are free.
