Mentors, students, Bank of America staff and Washington State Mentor staff gathered at Lochburn Middle School on Nov. 15 to present a $5,000 check to Communities In Schools. The Bank of America Mentoring Initiative, funded by the Bank of America Charitable Foundation, is administered by Washington State Mentors. “This partnership is a wonderful example of what can be accomplished when corporations and non-profits join forces to support young people. These grants are awarded to outstanding mentoring organizations that are serving youth living in poverty all across Washington State,” said Jim Marsh, President of Washington State Mentors.

CISL has 17 students waiting to be matched with a mentor. If you are interested in mentoring, contact Amy at 589-7489 or download an application from our website: www.kalewood.ciswa.org.

Our 17 Clover Park students are patiently waiting for a caring adult to partner with them in a mentoring relationship. Readers... I encourage 17 of you to call Amy (589-7489)and find out more about the very satisfying experience of mentoring one of our Lakewood students.
What a difference a mentor can make!
