Pierce County Council District #7 Candidate Forum On-Air

Eight candidates for the District #7 seat on the Pierce County Council participated in a candidate forum hosted by the League of Women voters on Wednesday, July 14 in University Place. Sewer hook ups, the county's proposed flood control district and economic development were among the issues addressed by the candidates, one of whom will replace current County Councilman Terry Lee who is stepping down due to term limits. The forum is available for viewing at the following times and locations:

  • Tuesday & Friday - 11:30am & 6pm

The Primary Election date is August 17. Voters’ Pamphlets are scheduled to mail by July 28, with ballots to mail by July 30.

Candidates running for the District #7 seat on the County Council are: Todd Iverson, Betty Ringlee, Chuck West, Bill Sehmel, Larry Wingard, Stan Flemming, Randy Boss and John Picinich.
