Steilacoom Farmers Market open on Wednesday
Posted on July 7, 2010Maily Cha, 7, tugs on the rope that rings the bell, signaling that Steilacoom's weekly Wednesday Farmers Market is officially open for business. Maily's father, Chneneng Cha, a flower vendor at the weekly event, and sell a variety of summery blooms each week. Market patrons are encouraged to experiment with recipes, provided free of charge, using market produce. The Market Bell, originally hung in the town's first church, now hangs atop the towering concrete tower behind the Bair Store. Photo and caption by Nancy Covert.
