Happy Birthday! Time flies when you are having fun.

I am one of your predecessors. I was editor of the Suburban times in 1967-68, following Frank Garred and ahead of Jim Erickson. Frank has since been publisher of the Port Townsend (but now retired), Jim worked at the News-Tribune for many years. I was a PR person and alumni periodical editor (Scene) at PLU for 26 years.

I knew your father, Dave, a bit. I used to drop off PLU news releases in his new building on Custer Road. Frank, Jim and I worked in the white frame building at 9505 Bridgeport across from Lakewood Center, now long since gone.

Even before working at the Times I was a member of the McChord Defender (now Airlifter) staff, 63-64, then editor from 65-67. We pasted up at the Times shop and were printed at Valley Pub in Kent.

I now live in the Westgate area of Tacoma.
