Principal assignments announced for 2010-11
Posted on July 1, 2010LAKEWOOD- Clover Park School District Superintendent, Debbie LeBeau, recently announced the selection of a new principal and new assignments for three principals. The principals will begin their new assignments effective July 1, 2010, pending board approval.
Kristi Webster has been appointed as the new principal at Lake Louise following the retirement of Patty Mitchell. Webster has administrative experience at all levels and has served in the Steilacoom Historical School District since 1999. Webster earned her bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University and her master’s from City University. Webster's skills and experience align very well to the qualities and abilities needed at Lake Louise based on input from staff, administrators and members of the Lake Louise community.
Karen Mauer-Smith will be the new Lakes High School principal. Before her new assignment, she served as an assistant principal at Lakes since 2007. Prior to that, she taught for 10 years in the Tacoma School District. She received her master’s degree and administrative credential from City University. Former Lakes High School principal, Brian Laubach, has accepted a position as the new director of teaching and learning.
Greg Wilson will be the principal of Greenwood Elementary School. Prior to this assignment, he was the assistant principal at Woodbrook Middle School. Wilson earned bachelors degrees from Pacific Lutheran University and a master’s degree from City University.
Wilson replaces Angie Wolfe who will be the assistant principal at Woodbrook. Wolfe has substantial middle school experience in both teaching and administration, including three years as an assistant principal in the Kent School District. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Puget Sound.
