LAKEWOOD—A first ever career fair is going to be held at Park Lodge Elementary on Thursday, June 17 from 8:15 to 10:30 a.m. A detective, bank manager, firefighter, public parks department employee, dentist, actor/director, council member, military recruiter, barista, musician, and K-9 unit police officer will share their expertise with the first through fifth grade students. The students will rotate in 30 minute increments to the visiting presenter. Refreshments will be available in the staff room during the presentations.

"We created a Career Fair Committee to introduce our students to employment opportunities in our Lakewood community," said Michelle Leingang, Career Fair Committee co-chair. "We believe it is never too soon to start students thinking about their futures in relation to education and career opportunities." For more information about the event, please call 253-583-5350. Park Lodge is located at 6300 100th Street SW in Lakewood.
