Sen. Carrell's Kitchen Cabinet update

Sen. Mike Carrell (28th District) sends out an email newsletter that discusses a variety of topics from the district. Following are the topics discussed in his May 26 update:

  • Working with the City of Fircrest to lose a loophole that allows the names and addresses of minors enrolled in youth sports program to be divulged.
  • The City of Fircrest is trying to revoke the temporary liquor license of a particularly troublesome watering hole.
  • A possible solution to a collapsed 30" pipe on Martin St.
  • A potential upgrade to power and internet coming to Anderson Island and an end to the temporary power that's been in place since last year.
  • Sen. Carrell has been appointed to a Bail Work Group.
  • Regarding Waughop Lake, Sen. Carrell has sent a letter to Pierce County Health Department officials seeking reasoning for not closing the lake.
