Letter: What's that noise?
Posted on May 23, 2010I live near Clover Park High School. From at least 10 p.m. on Thursday, May 20, to 4 a.m. on Friday, May 21, there was a continual engine type noise that disturbed our sleep. Do you have any idea what the origin of this noise was? Road construction? Ft. Lewis? McChord? TV camera trucks? Search and Rescue mobile station? et al?

I believe this noise was from construction equipment on I-5. Construction crews were working on I-5 near Clover Creek, and I wouldn't be surprised if the noise carried down the creekbed to the Clover Park area. It sounded to me like a helicopter, but slightly higher pitched. My best guess is some type of generator they were using.
