2010 U.P. Spring Flower Show and Plant Sale
Posted on March 10, 2010Ready for spring? Be sure to mark your calendar for the 7th annual University Place Spring Flower Show and Plant sale! It is scheduled for Saturday, May 1st (9AM-5PM) and Sunday, May 2nd (10AM-2 PM) on the Homestead Park Rhododendron Garden Patio at 3715 Bridgeport Way W. in University Place Washington.
The Plant Sale offers hundreds of unique varieties of rhododendrons, roses, fuchsias dahlias, ferns and other unusual perennials and companion plants grown by local Northwest vendors. Plant prices are very competitive, and proceeds from the sale benefit further development of Homestead Park.
The Exhibit is FREE and features one of the largest Rhododendron truss displays on the West Coast. The event also includes a self-guided walking tour of the five-acre Homestead Park Rhododendron Garden in full bloom.
This event is sponsored by the Peninsula Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society, and The Friends of Homestead Park. For information on how to get involved either as a plant vendor, volunteer, or truss exhibitor call Dr. Gary Becker at 253-265-2796.
