Posted on March 9, 2010Salvador "Sal" Fornillos Passed away peacefully on March 5, 2010. He was born on May 12, 1915 in the Philippines. Graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Fine Arts at U.P., Philippines. He was a good artist and worked with Sampaguita Pictures in Manila. Past GK of the Knights of Columbus, was active in his town's civic organizations - GIANTS Club, Busy Peas, and was a lay minister in the Catholic Church. He was well-liked by parishioners at St. Leo's Church in Tacoma, WA where they settled in 1984. EHe worked at McCarver and Sheridan Elem. Schools as school artist. He is survived by 4 children Linda of CA, Gladys of N.J., Pauline and Bonni, both of Tacoma, sons-in-law Lino Suson, Ben Chan, Gil Montances. He has 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren, both in the Philippines and across the country. He has a sister Cristina. Sal was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bing and 2 sons, Willie and Dommy. Viewings and prayers on Tuesday, March 9, and Wednesday, March 10 from 1 to 9 pm. David W. Hurlow "Bud" Bud, a native of Tacoma, was born on July 30, 1927 and left this world on March 3, 2010 after having a stroke two and a half years ago. He is now free to enjoy a game of golf. During his life he was co-owner of Lakewood Fuel Oil Company, which was a family run business. During his leisure time he enjoyed bowling and golfing at Oakbrook Golf and Country Club and many courses in Hawaii and Florida. Bud was a member of Lakewood Rotary and a charter and lifetime member of the Lakewood Elks. Bud leaves behind two sons; Brian and Todd, grandchildren Joshua and Courtnie and the love in his life Jan Padget. He also leaves two brothers, Rod (Jeanette) and Edward (Marilyn) and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Eileen. Our thanks and appreciation to the caregivers at University Place Care Center.
