Mountain View to dedicate new cremation garden
Posted on March 9, 2010Mountain View Memorial Park will open and dedicate their newest section, an addition to their Valley Rose Urn Garden specifically designed for the permanent placement of cremated remains. The new addition will feature "family estates" for eventual use by entire families. The dedication and ribbon-cutting is scheduled for Friday, March 12, 2010 at 11 AM. The public is invited to attend. After a brief ceremony featuring local dignitaries and an official ribbon-cutting, a reception will follow at Mountain View’s Celebration of Life Center and cemetery staff will be available for personal tours and to answer questions.
"The public tastes change," explains Kevin Krizak, a member of Mountain View's Management Team. "The public has told us that they wanted more choices for cremation placement. We created this new addition to our park in response. More families than ever before are choosing cremation. What we've done with this addition is to give those families creative solutions for the permanent placement of their loved one's cremains. They are offered within the context of a beautiful outdoor garden setting with a pond and running stream with many walkways, benches and other features. It's functional and beautiful at the same time."
