The 3rd annual Black Tie & Blue Jeans Ball raised about $35,000 to help pay for a permanent restroom to be installed next to the Playground @ Ft. Steilacoom Park, according to Charlie Maxwell, spokesman for Partners for Parks.

Held at the Clover Park Technical College's McGavick Center, more than 150 people representing just about every community service organization and other groups showed up to support the parks project, particularly to raise the funds to buy and install a new restroom.

In addition to a "raise the paddle" offering, auctioning of desserts, some beverage sales, guests ponied up for the chance to win a variety of items. For more pictures from the Ball, see below or click here to see a slideshow.
