Job seekers and students with disabilities can attend a free conference called "Tools 4 Success" to help prepare them for their job searches and employment. The half-day employment and technology conference will be held March 23 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Tacoma Community College.

Sponsored by the Pierce County Human Services Department's Developmental Disabilities division and community organizations, the conference also is open to career counselors, employment specialists, parents and agency case managers. A $20 registration fee is required for professionals and parents.

The conference will include displays of assistive technology and feature special sessions on such areas as resume preparation, interviewing skills, job and career search, creating your own job, navigating the developmental disability service system, asking for reasonable accommodation, and success stories.

Pre-registration is required. Please contact the TCC Ask Me Desk at 253-460-4387 or Washington Relay at 711 or 1-800-833-6388. Accommodation and interpreters will be provided if requested by March 9.
