The University Place City Council will meet Monday, February 22 at 6:30 pm in the Town Hall Meeting Room, 3715 Bridgeport Way West. Following is the agenda:

6:30 pm 1. CALL SPECIAL MEETING TO ORDER – MAYOR

6:35 pm 2. OATH OF OFFICE – COUNCIL POSITION NO. 7

6:40 pm 3. COMMISSION INTERVIEWS AND APPOINTMENTS (PLANNING COMMISSION)

STUDY SESSION - (At this time, Council will have the opportunity to study and discuss business issues with staff prior to its consideration. Citizen comment is not taken at this time; however, citizens will have the opportunity to comment on the following item(s) at future Council meetings.)

8:00 pm 4. TRANSPORTATION BENEFIT DISTRICT – (Discussion on the University Place Transportation Benefit District ordinance amendment authorizing the district to generate revenue to fund street maintenance and Preservation activities, and adding a sunset date to the district.)

8:30 pm 5. REGIONAL CENTER DISCUSSION – (Discussion on the Regional Growth Center designation for University Place to support the Puget Sound Regional Council’s Vision 2040 regional growth strategy aimed to distribute future population and employment growth and set a higher priority for transportation funding and transit infrastructure.)

9:30 pm 6. EXECUTIVE SESSION – (CLOSED SESSION - At this time of the Agenda, the City Council will recess to Executive Session for approximately thirty minutes, per RCW 42.30.110. Any action on this issue will only be taken during Council Open Session.)

10:00 pm 7. ADJOURNMENT
