High school seniors explore opportunities at college fair
Posted on February 15, 2010More than 300 students from Clover Park, Harrison Prep and Lakes High Schools attended the Historically Black Colleges and Universities College Fair Feb. 3 at Clover Park. Students attended in business attire and brought along their portfolios, admission essays, transcript, test scores and letters of recommendation.
Some students received admission offers “on-the-spot” and many received partial scholarships. One student received a “full ride” scholarship. Many 10th- and 11th-graders also took advantage of the fair to ask questions and investigate future opportunities.

- Bethune-Cookman University, Florida
- Claflin University, South Carolina
- Clark Atlanta University, Georgia
- Johnson C. Smith University North Carolina
- Lincoln University, Pennsylvania
- Livingston College, North Carolina
- Norfolk State University, Virginia
- Savannah State University, Georgia
- Shaw University, North Carolina
- Wilberforce University, Ohio
