Lakewold Gardens launches new website
Posted on January 28, 2010LAKEWOOD, WA – Lakewold Gardens is proud to announce the completion of our new website. With funding provided by a 2009 City of Lakewood LTAC (Lodging Tax Advisory Committee) grant, we completely revamped our site with a user-friendly format, crisp images, and clear site mapping. Designed with the visitor in mind, site guests can learn about the history of the gardens, keep current on Lakewold events and activities, and plan a trip to the gardens, including many activities offered throughout Lakewood.
The unveiling of our new site is just one of the many improvements Lakewold has made in order to reach out to members, friends, tourists and the community in an era of social networking. Last fall marked the beginning of an e-newsletter, Garden Greetings, to better inform and update our members and friends with news from the gardens. We are also in the process of branching out to other social sites such as Facebook, Flickr, and YouTube.
Please take a look at the new site by visiting www.lakewoldgardens.org. While at our site sign up for our mailing list, become a member, or learn something new about the gardens. Special thanks to Irene Russo of Lakewold and Adam Welch of Hemisphere Design for their year long efforts in creating a thorough and user-friendly site for the public.
Lakewold Gardens is a ten acre, non-profit public garden located on Gravelly Lake at 12317 Gravelly Lake Drive SW, Lakewood, WA 98499. We are open year-round for tours; April-September, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm – winter hours vary, please call ahead 253.584.4106 or visit www.lakewoldgardens.org.
