JungBaeLakes High School senior Jung Bae, 17, received a perfect 2,400 on the SAT. Bae prepared for the exam on his own using a study guide. He credits his score on long-term preparation and planning.

"Studying for the exam isn't something you can cram into a few weeks, it's a process" said Bae. "My friends have been asking me for exam advice and I'm helping them study and prepare."

Bae, who has a 4.0 grade point average, took the SAT earlier in the year and scored a 2,300. He knew his score would improve the second time, but was happily surprised by his perfect score.

At Lakes, Bae is president of the French Club, public relations representative for the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America and is on student council. Prior to attending Lakes he was a student at Hudtloff Middle School and Oakbrook Elementary School.

Bae plans to attend an Ivy League college and major in business administration.
