Mann Middle School hosted an anniversary tea party Oct. 16 in celebration of the school's 50th anniversary. The event allowed former staff members and students to reconnect with current staff and students to share memories and stories.

Principal Ron Banner started the event with a photo slideshow and introduced special guests, including Roy McLeod, 83, the first assistant principal of Mann who worked under Principal Harry Lang. Then, Lazette Meyers, granddaughter of Iva Alice Mann, gave a welcome introduction recapping some of her favorite memories of her grandmother. Guests were treated to tea, finger sandwiches, cookies and cake—all thanks to supportive Mann volunteers.
