Jones TomRev. Tom Jones Jr. 75 of Tacoma, WA went home to be with the Lord after a long illness on October 11, 2009. He was born on January 8, 1934 in Nettleton, Mississippi. He was the Senior Associated Minister at Eastside Baptist Church where he faithfully served for over 40 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Modessie Jones. They had 4 children Tommie (preceded him in death), Charles Jones, Evelyn Jones and Mary Bullock (husband Vann). Viewing will be held at Mt. View Funeral Home Friday, October 16th, 1-9pm and Saturday starting at 10am at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Lars B. Makebakken was born June 3, 1922 in Bomlo, Norway. He passed away peacefully at home on October 12, 2009 in Tacoma, WA. Lars was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anna, of over 60 years. Lars is survived by his brother John Makebakken, his nephew Elvin Erickson (Cathy), and his great-niece Stacy Erickson. Wittenborn Mason ChristelChristel Andrea Mason Born August 9, 1935 in Hamburg, Germany; passed away October 10, 2009 in Federal Way, Washington. Upon graduating from secondary school she became a dancer at the Moulin Rouge and Lido in Paris. At the age of 29 she came to the United States, where she raised her children. Christel then went to work at Virginia Mason South in Federal Way for the next nine years. During retirement she traveled throughout the world with her husband. Survivors include her loving husband Terry, her sons Rick (Denise) Zanto of Wenatchee and Mike Zanto of Marysville. She is survived by her three grandchildren Derek, Mathew and Brooklyn. Other survivors include her sister Elfi (Helmut) Ballewski and her niece Birgit (Volker) Herges and their children Christine and Stefan, all of whom reside in Bergisch-Gladbach, Germany. Survivors also include her friends Jerry, Art, Laureen, Barbara, Virginia, her friends at Windward Condominium and too many others to mention. She will be greatly missed and forever loved. There will be a private family burial at Mountain View Cemetery in Tacoma. Additionally the family invite all of her many friends and acquaintances to join them for a memorial gathering at 1:30 PM Saturday, October 24, 2009 at C.I. June B. Stevens. Born June 28, 1914 in Sequim (on Lost Mountain) in Washington to Joseph William and Myrtle (Van Orman) Brown and passed away October 13, 2009 in Tacoma, Washington.

June is survived by her daughter, Barbara Creten, and daughter-in-law, Beverly Diebert; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her son Raymond "Bud" Diebert in 2008 and her husband Charles Isaac Stevens in 1977.
