Auditions at Lakewood Playhouse for 'Tuesdays with Morrie'
Posted on August 20, 2009Lakewood, WA -- Lakewood Playhouse will be holding auditions for TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE, adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher and Mitch Albom. Auditions will be held at the Lakewood Playhouse on August 30th and 31st with appointments available from 7-10pm. Call the box office for an appointment at (253) 588-0042.
Based on the best-selling true story – Sixteen years after graduation, a journalist happens to learn that his old professor is battling Lou Gehrig's Disease. Mitch looks up Morrie, and what starts as simple visits becomes a class in the meaning of life. There are two roles for men, with playable ages of 30 for Mitch (piano experience is helpful but not required) and 70 for Morrie. This show will be directed by Brie Yost. The play runs October 23 through November 8, 2009 with shows on Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm. Some Thursday 8pm and Saturday 2pm shows.
