tomFriends of Tom Searfus will host a Spaghetti Dinner & Auction on Sunday, July 12 from 2:30-7:30 pm at the Lakewood Elks (6313 75th St W – no host bar opens at 2:30, dinner begins being served at 4 p.m).

Back in 1967, Tom Searfus, one of three sons of Frank and Charlotte Searfus, moved into the little Village of DuPont, just outside of Fort Lewis. After years of the transient lifestyle that is the legacy of a career military soldier and his family, Tom had the good fortune of moving into a community that was the closest thing to “home” that a military “brat” might come to know.

The friends Tom made during his years in DuPont and during his high school years at Laughbon would become life-lasting ones.

Our friend Tom is at a new crossroads in his life’s journey…one that finds him gravely ill with inoperable cancer and minimal medical and personal resources. It is with hearts full of love and compassion that those “life-lasting” friendships have been called together to collectively share with him the comfort of affection, support and love through these uncharted waters of his journey.

Whether you know Tom personally, or not, we invite you to join us in this endeavor.

Tickets can be purchased in advance as well as the donation of silent auction items by contacting Ron & Theresa Kelley (253) 857-4568 or e-mail at: friendsoftom@comcast.net. Tickets can also be purchased at the door.
