Governor Chris Gregoire has directed that flags at all Washington State agency facilities be lowered to half-staff Wednesday, July 1, 2009, in memory of U. S. Army First Lieutenant Brian N. Bradshaw, 24, of Steilacoom, who died on June 25, in Kheyl, Afghanistan, from injuries sustained from the detonation of an improvised explosive device.

Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business on Wednesday, or first thing Thursday morning.

Other government entities, citizens and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition.
