Idlewild Elementary School students show off their award-winning team t-shirts.
Nearly every elementary school in Clover Park School District participated in the annual Math Relay June 5 at Franklin Pierce High School. Schools formed teams pairing mathematical skills with athletic ability to maneuver through an obstacle course of jumping jacks, flash cards, jump roping and running.
More than 80 teams from Pierce and Thurston Counties competed in this year's Relay. Idlewild Elementary School took home the "Coolest T-Shirt" Award.

A Tyee Park Elementary School student answers flash cards as he makes his way through the Relay obstacles.
