Kurt Allen Husted was born July 3, 1970 in Tacoma, Washington. He was taken from his family June 2, 2009 at 38 years old.
Kurt graduated from Lincoln High School in 1988, attended Lake Washington and Clover Park Technical Colleges. In 1992, Kurt began racing 600, 750, 450 and 250cc motorcycles, winning three championships. During his racing Kurt’s father and nephew spent many weekends working as his pitcrew. Kurt next took up diving as a love of the water and sealife. Recently he had begun taking flying lessons. Kurt was living life to the fullest.
Kurt’s fiancé deeply loved Kurt, expressing her everlasting love to the man that treated her so well in their time together and will miss him forever.
Kurt leaves behind to cherish his memory, his parents Ronald and Janet Husted, fiancé Deborah Bishop, sister Kirsten Talley, brother-in-law Michael Olin, grandmother Virginia Gosteli, nephews Patrick and Jeremy Talley, along with many family and friends.
Kurt will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him. Kurt shared his smile with everyone.
There will be a private family burial. A public closed casket visitation will be held from 1:00-8:30 PM, Tuesday, June 9, 2009 in the Mountain View Celebration of Life Center. A Celebration of Kurt’s life will be held at the Tacoma Elk’s on Saturday, June 20th from 1:00- 4:00pm.

Sammie Lee Johnson 12/10/46 ~ 5/30/2009 My beloved has gone bowling in heaven with the Lord. He leaves a loving wife and son, both of Tacoma. Viewing will be held at Mountain View on Friday, June 5th from 12 noon to 9pm and Saturday, June 6th from 9am to 11 am. James R. Myres, Sr. Born April 17, 1927 in Mobile, Alabama; passed away on June 2, 2009. He proudly served as a Merchant Seaman in WWII and 23 years active duty Army. He then enjoyed a second career in retail sales. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen, daughters Melody (Jan) Derwojed, Mary (James) Couch, son James, Jr., and grandchildren Jennifer, Nicholas, Jacob, Michael, Anthony, and Jonathan, sister Louise and brother Lloyd. He will be remembered as a loving, caring, gentle man. He will be deeply missed. At his request no services planned. However a visitation will be held 12-9 p.m., Sunday, June 7, 2009 at Mountain View Funeral Home in Lakewood, WA. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Salvation Army or a charity of your choice. Born 7/19/1982 in Tacoma, WA and passed away 5/31/2009 in Tacoma, WA.
Johnathan is survived by his mother, Debra Ragland; 2 sisters, Jontaya and Jalis Ragland; son, Johnathan Jr.; fiancé, Michelle Strickland; and numerous extended family and friends.
