Lakewood United
Posted on April 6, 2009The Lakewood United group meets at 7 AM every Thursday at Burs Restaurant, which is located at 6151 Steilacoom Boulevard SW in Lakewood. The events for the next four weeks are as follows:
- April 2, 2009 - Fort Lewis Update - John Norgren, Fort Lewis (Kris Kauffman - MC)
- April 9, 2009 - Updates and Challenges of Pierce County Government in 2009 - Dick Muri, Pierce County Council Member (Mary Ann Miller - MC)
- April 16, 2009 - City of Lakewood Parks Department Update - Mary Dodsworth, Parks and Recreation Director (Kristy Roy - MC)
- April 23, 2009 - Connect in the Heart through the Arts - Broadway Center for the Performing Arts - David Fischer, Executive Director (Hugh Hedges - MC)
Dues are only $10 per year which equates to less than 20 cents every Thursday. This is thanks to our volunteer board. Incidentally, our guest speakers only charge us the cost of a breakfast.
