Governor Chris Gregoire has directed that flags at all Washington State agency facilities be lowered to half-staff Thursday, March 26, in memory of U. S. Army Private First Class Court D. Haugen, 23, of Wenatchee who died on March 11 after being struck by a train in Germany. He was returning to Ft. Lewis after serving 15 months in Iraq.

Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business on Thursday, or first thing Friday morning.

Other government entities, citizens and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition.
