Letter: Ardesson's a 'fine beginning'
Posted on March 23, 2009The Spotlight on Business is a great new feature for our neighboring communities and Ardesson's Shoe Repair and New Shoes is a fine beginning. My husband was a believer in buying "good leather uppers" and resoling and reheeling until all was exhausted. He first patronized Ardesson's soon having moving here in 1968 when Mr. Ardesson owned it and continued with the Bennett's with the same attention to detail. We've repaired shoes, purses, belts, and even a dog leash at one time. I've also taken advantage of their selection of new shoes as well. New patrons should allow time to look at the interesting displays of antique footwear, hats, gloves etc. and to learn about the business history of the surrounding area.
